Corporate pet relocation in Chile, from arrival to the flight home

The Place's works with companies that move employees and their families to and from Chile. We meet the dog at the airport, look after it for as long as the family needs and, when it's time to go home, handle the paperwork, crate and flight, with a vet on site and the option of Joshua or our vet flying with the dog.

The complete service, from arrival to departure

Each family deals with the same small team, Joshua and Dr. Cristina, at every stage:

  • Airport meeting and pickup

We meet the family and their dog at the airport when needed, or pick the dog up there and bring it straight to our hotel.

  • Boarding while the family settles in

Short or extended stays, for days, weeks or months, while the family moves into their new home.

  • A dog hotel for the whole assignment

Whenever the family travels, the dog stays with us, with no cages or kennels.

  • Vet paperwork for departure

Dr. Cristina coordinates the health certificates and veterinary documents the destination and the airline require.

  • Flights, crates and transport

Airline reservations, an appropriate travel crate, flight logistics and transport to the airport.

  • Escorted international flights

When needed, Joshua or our vet can fly with the dog, subject to airline and destination requirements.

Families referred by their employer or relocation company don't need an in-person meeting before the first stay. If they're still abroad, we meet them by video call.

How we work with your company

One contact for every family you relocate, in English or Spanish.

  1. Your HR, mobility or relocation team introduces the family to us by email or WhatsApp.
  2. We talk with the family, by video call if they're still abroad, and plan the dog's arrival: airport, dates and boarding.
  3. We look after the dog for the whole assignment and deal with the family directly.
  4. When the assignment ends, we prepare the paperwork, crate and flight for the trip home.

When the flight home comes, the dog already knows us

Over its stays, the dog gets to know Joshua, Dr. Cristina and the place. When the family relocates again, the people preparing the trip, and sometimes flying with the dog, are people it already trusts.

That makes the move much less stressful for the dog, and for the family.

Who we work with

Companies and organizations that bring employees and families from other countries to Chile: mining, energy, technology, finance, international business and international organizations.

We work alongside relocation companies, international organizations and corporate mobility teams. Most of our relocation families come to us by referral from the embassy and expat community in Santiago.

Our clinic is at the same place as the hotel. Dr. Cristina checks vaccines on arrival, looks after the dog during the stay and prepares the health documents for the trip home.
